Meet Porky and Mr. Saturn in the second installment of Hobonichi’s “Me and My Friends” plush series, inspired by the world of MOTHER2.

Developed from a long-standing concept by Norihiko Sakata, a figure producer at BANDAI SPIRITS, this series reflects his vision of creating exceptional plush toys with carefully considered details and lasting appeal. The original prototypes were developed more than ten years ago, and the project has continued to evolve.

The Porky plush is based on a rare papier-mâché figure created for the official MOTHER2 guidebook. Its distinctive features include plump arms, a round belly and back, and full cheeks. The Mr. Saturn plush showcases charming details such as its ribbon and uniquely shaped feet. Both plush dolls feature soft, dimensional forms and meticulous craftsmanship.

Although Porky and Mr. Saturn do not join Ness and his friends as battle companions in the game, these two characters make a delightful pair to display together.

Initial Condition Note

After removing the band securing Mr. Saturn, temporary impressions may remain on the plush surface. Gently knead and loosen the plush, then smooth the surface by hand to help restore its shape.

The band is positioned this way to prevent the plush from rolling around inside the box during shipping. It is recommended to remove the band upon arrival, even if you plan to display Mr. Saturn inside the box.
