This Fender Made in Japan ISHIBASHI FSR Traditional 60s Jazzmaster is a Factory Special Run (FSR) model exclusively ordered by Ishibashi Music, produced in Japan and available in strictly limited quantities.

Based on the classic Jazzmaster design beloved in surf, alternative, shoegaze, post-rock, and garage rock genres, this special edition combines Japanese craftsmanship with vintage-inspired American tone.

The body features a rare Desert Sand finish, a color seldom seen on Japanese-made Fender models. Paired with fully gold hardware and a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, the guitar delivers a refined yet distinctive visual presence. Black pickup covers and control knobs provide contrast and balance.

Sound & Playability

Unlike standard models that use basswood bodies, this FSR version adopts an alder body to emphasize a thicker, more focused midrange with a vintage character.

The maple neck features a comfortable U-shaped profile with a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, upgraded to 22 medium jumbo frets for enhanced versatility and modern playability. Neck binding adds an extra touch of premium craftsmanship.

Equipped with USA-made Pure Vintage ’65 Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups, this guitar delivers clear articulation, warm mids, and a smooth, expressive tone that remains unmistakably Jazzmaster.
