MoMA Sky Umbrella
Product Description
The Sky Umbrella is a well-known design item from MoMA Design Store. When closed, the umbrella features a classic black exterior with a wooden handle. When opened, the inside reveals a bright blue sky with white clouds, creating a playful visual contrast on rainy days.
Originally introduced in 1992, the design was created by graphic designer Tibor Kalman together with Emanuela Frattini Magnusson of EFM Design. The simple yet imaginative concept quickly became a recognizable design piece.
