Meet the charming Yumi Kitagishi “Shiro Neko & Rabbit Tea Time” design, created for the 2027 Hobonichi HON A6.

This is the fourth collaboration between Hobonichi Techo and illustrator and picture-book artist Yumi Kitagishi, and marks the first time her artwork has been featured on the Hobonichi HON format.

The Hobonichi HON combines the planner and cover into one bound book, creating a clean and streamlined format for everyday use. It features a one-page-per-day layout, making it suitable for daily planning, journaling, notes, sketches, and personal records.

The “Shiro Neko & Rabbit Tea Time” design brings together two illustrations from Kitagishi’s dollhouse-inspired artwork. One scene shows a cheerful white cat welcoming visitors at the entrance, while another features rabbits enjoying tea and cake.

The back cover continues the story with animals reading inside a charming book-shaped house. Small flowers are scattered throughout the illustrations, while the “2027” detail and white cat motif on the spine add a subtle finishing touch.

Flat-Opening Binding

The HON uses a thread-sewn binding, allowing the book to open flat to approximately 180 degrees. This makes it convenient to write across the page without constantly holding the planner open.

Tomoe River Paper

The planner uses Tomoe River paper, a thin and lightweight paper designed for notebooks and planners. Its smooth surface provides a comfortable writing experience and works well with a variety of writing instruments.
